Comment on The Next Generation of Network Security Is Cloud-Delivered by Jamie Lee https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/2019/11/cloud-next-generation-network-security/comment-page-1/#comment-3003043 Wed, 25 Mar 2020 22:07:43 +0000 https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/blog/?p=103028#comment-3003043 Really interesting and succinct article. I write this in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic, which as tragic as it is; circumstantially, is redefining the way workers are consuming and accessing IT Services on a scale never before seen.
We hear a lot around networks without boundaries or invisible boundaries perhaps more aptly. So the cloud really has to be thought of as the organisation's new boundary, supporting enterprises need to become truly agile, which in the face of restricted movements and lockdowns is vital to survive. SASE for me is maturity of the need for secure anywhere access into the enterprise resources! Fascinating times for technology in what are incredibly challenging times for our way of life.

Thanks for your comment. Here is what I've heard from the team: The GlobalProtect agent can be deployed using Group Policy, SCCM or MDM tool. Portal settings can also be set using these methods. Users will have to authenticate unless using an authentication method they are already logged into, ie. Okta or IWA.

If you have any further questions, please contact the rapid response email address above.
